Can you tell us a bit about yourselves? Share some of the history of your romance - when you met, how you fell in love, etc.

Hi! We’re Sam & Connor and we are a 24 year old couple from Toronto, Canada who loves to adventure, get out of our comfort zones, and explore new places together! We met when we were 13 at the beginning of high school and instantly became close friends. We truly believe the key to a healthy, strong relationship is a solid friendship. We fell in love so young, while we were such good friends, that it wasn’t until 4.5 years later that we made it official and starting dating in University. We went to the same university, which we loved and we both received a general Bachelor of Arts degree. We really grew up together and it’s what’s made our bond so strong and full of love!! 6.5 years later and we are better than ever coming out of our 6-month adventure living in Hawaii!

We love the photos you shared on your Instagram page. What makes you want to take a camera to capture those amazing moments?

First off, thank you so much!! We appreciate all the love and support we’ve been receiving ever since starting our page. It’s funny because prior to starting our page we rarely ever took pictures or videos together. Before we left for Hawaii we had the idea to create our own shared page to document our adventures of our first travel journey together. Since we wouldn’t be working in Hawaii we thought it would be fun to focus on documenting our daily life. When we started getting more comfortable online, we were able to become creative with it, which is why we ended up genuinely loving the process.

It was so exciting to play with new camera equipment and we’ve been learning so much because of it. We have so much fun just bringing our camera with us with no plans and pulling off to the side of the road when we find a view to take pictures in front of. It has added a lot of interest and purpose behind our adventures! And now, after the 6-months we spent in Hawaii, there is nothing more precious than looking back on all the photos and videos we created that highlight our life together and how much we’re growing.

As we all know, Hawaii has pleasant scenery. Do you often go to the beach to have fun? What outdoor activities do you usually do at the beach? What things will you bring?

Hawaii has some of the most gorgeous views we’ve ever seen! We were so lucky the beach was a five minute walk from our apartment so we went almost everyday! The sand and the ocean became our happy place. Our first week we each got our own used surfboard, so that was a big activity we focused on when we went to the beach! After surfing we loved just hanging out and relaxing either on our beach blanket or our Suncreat hammock!! Being able to bring our hammock and attach it to nearby trees made our beach experience so much better! There’s nothing more soothing than swinging in a hammock listening to the ocean while reading a good book.

Do you have a vision for your future house? What will it be like?

We haven’t been ones to dream of buying our future house just yet. We love having the freedom to travel and adventure together! However, we have always said that when we do buy our first house we’d love a fixer upper with a lot of land so that we could make it our own! We’re drawn towards coastal, French country style bungalows. We love unique features and decor that stands out such as wallpaper, tiling, indoor brick work, arched doors, steel factory-style windows, claw foot bathtub, etc. We like small houses to avoid wasted space and since we try to spend a lot of time outside! At the end of the day, being together is what matters and we’ve gotten really good at making each place we stay at feel like home. But we can’t wait to build our own little home together one day!
