How to clean a hammock
Hammock is a must in summer. Once you have one, you will maximize the time spent in your backyards.
After several months of continuous use, coffee stains, muffin residues, sweat stains and other stains may stick to the hammock. If not regularly washed, molds may form on the the surface of the hammock fabric, which will be bad news for those with sensitive skins and badly reduce the comfort. So it is necessary to take care of your hammock regularly.
But when it comes to hammock cleaning, are you a bit hesitant to do it in fear of a ruined hammock?
No worries... The following simple tips will help you better maintain your hammock.
Start by knowing different materials of hammocks make different cleaning methods, but they are all much of a muchness.
What you need: brush, soap or detergent, warm water(<40℃)
If your hammock is made of Textilene, just shake off the residue and then scrub with a wet cloth.
For polyester-cotton and cotton hammock, the same first will be the residue off. If the hammock pad is detachable, remove and gently wash it in warm water. If not, dip the cloth with warm water and wipe the stains with detergent. For stubborn stain, use the bristle brush to scrub the surface of the fabric.
Finally, do air dry, always! Just hang them up as normal. Never tumble dry your hammock!
